“Exposed Elements” is a large scale painting, that’s just over 5ft tall and 4 ft wide and can be displayed either vertically or horizontally. The combination of colors + texture for some reason, reminds me of winter. Winter represents an opportunity to reset, re-envision our lives so we can let go of the old, and evolve.⁣

Winter is coming. Literally. And soon we shall be exposed to changing elements. ⁣

⁣Fall is a time of preparation, to return inside, to go within, reflect, and rest— for the purpose to be born anew. ⁣

⁣Although cold, sometimes even with freezing temperatures, this winter season is an opportunity to clear our minds, free ourselves from limiting thoughts + ideas, and shed the things that no longer serve us— where we can step forward into a whole new being. ⁣⁣

When I look at “Exposed Elements,” there is a blankness that instantly clears my mind. There is motion, as if a strong gust of wind rushes throughout + within the painting. Instead of instilling fear, it calms me. Instead of feeling shaken, I am centered. I feel vulnerable, yet confident. I feel exposed to the external environment, yet I am within my element. ⁣
